Gracious, Mature, Well Modulated, Pleasant.
I have a background in the visual and performing arts, music and theology. I think the area of voice work I find most satisfying, involves texts and scripts which offer the colourful terminology and quirky pronunciations found in ancient history, the scriptures, early literature, classical music, and art. I really enjoy the challenge of giving new life to old words.
Very natural. Well spoken. Corporate. Warm and friendly.
Using my voice to speak, sing and tell stories is my passion. I love the challenge of accents and dialects and with a little time to research can come up with the goods. My speaking voice is naturally light and youthful with a bright, warm tone but I have the skills to darken it to suit characterization for documentary narration. I sound younger than my age might indicate. I have worked as a reader for audio books, recording for children and adults. My Australian accent is faint and urban. I have a strong musical ear and good timing. I enjoy phaffing around in studios, experimenting and trying out new and random ideas. I’m an old NIDA graduate and learned to speak faster than thought, and talk and chew gum at the same time”.
Sassy, Serious, Sensual, Scandinavian.
“I was born and raised in Scandinavia and am fluent in five languages other than English (Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, German and French). I have always had great fun impersonating a wide range of accents and do a very credible Irish, Scottish, British, Russian, Indian, Italian, French, German, Scandinavian and of course American (both Yankee and Southern).
If you need sensual and breathy, comedic or serious, newsreader, animation or even lip sync I would be delighted to let you hear my repertoire”.
Vibrant, Versatile, CaptiVating, Velvet.
As a radio presenter and singer, voice is a huge part of Steph’s life – in the best possible way. She takes any opportunity to use it wisely and always welcomes a chewing of the fat; in fact she likes it more than a hot cup of tea on a cold winters morning. She is passionate about voice over and loves all the different opportunities and avenues it follows; being the voice behind the action excites her greatly! She adores being part of collaborative and creative groups of people and with a range of styles and accents, Steph is up for any challenge. As an actor, character voices and animation gets her going as she loves to tell a story but if you need something saucy just let her know!
She finds great joy in entertaining people whenever the opportunity presents itself which is horribly often; playful and unique in both voice and personality, you wont leave a session without having a good laugh. Oh yeh, and she doesn’t mind wearing trackies to work either!
